Last updated: 16 July 2026

Who we are

This website is operated by Festivaria Films LLC (“we”, “us”), the producers of the documentary film Rings of Time: Tales From The Telluride Bluegrass Festival.

If you have any question about this policy or about your information, contact us at thebluegrassmovie@gmail.com.

The short version

We collect one thing, and only if you hand it to us: your first name and email address, so we can tell you when the film comes out. We don’t sell it, we don’t advertise to you, and you can leave at any time. Everything else on this page is us being specific about the details.

What we collect

Information you give us

The only information we ask for is on the sign-up form:

  • First name
  • Email address

That’s it. There’s no account to create, nothing to buy, and no other form on the site.

You give us this voluntarily, to receive news about the film’s release, screenings and tickets. If you never fill in the form, we never collect anything you typed.

Information collected automatically

Like nearly every website, some information is gathered as a by-product of your visit:

  • Your IP address and browser information, recorded in standard server logs by our hosting provider. This happens on any website you visit and is used for security and diagnostics.
  • Requests to third-party services the site relies on to display correctly (see below).

We do not run Google Analytics, a Meta/Facebook pixel, or any other analytics or advertising tracker. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across other websites.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We do not trade or rent it. We share it only with the services required to run the site and send the mail:

Hive (hive.co)

Our mailing list runs on Hive, a marketing platform used widely in music and live events. When you submit the sign-up form, your first name and email are sent to Hive and stored there, tagged to a list called “Rings of Time Website”.

Hive’s software also loads on every page of this site in order to make the form work. Hive processes this data on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy terms.

Google Fonts

The site’s typefaces are served by Google Fonts. As a consequence, your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page loads, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. No name or email is sent to Google, and this happens whether or not you use the form.

Kinsta

Our web host. Kinsta stores standard server logs, including IP addresses, and serves the site through a content delivery network.

If you click a share or social link

The Facebook, Email and social buttons are ordinary links. Nothing is sent to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok or YouTube unless you actually click through — at which point that company’s own privacy policy takes over.

Why we’re allowed to hold it

We hold your name and email because you asked us to — you filled in a form requesting updates. That’s your consent, and it’s the only basis we rely on for the mailing list.

We keep server logs on the basis of legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.

Cookies

We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies.

The site is built on WordPress, and Hive’s software may set cookies necessary for the form and list management to function. These are operational, not advertising.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work; the sign-up form may not.

How long we keep it

We keep your name and email until you unsubscribe, or until the film’s release campaign ends and the list is no longer needed — whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe, we remove you promptly and retain only what’s needed to make sure we don’t email you again by mistake.

Server logs are kept on our host’s standard retention schedule.

Your choices

Unsubscribing. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. One click and you’re out. You can also just email us.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your data. Email thebluegrassmovie@gmail.com and ask. We’ll tell you what we hold, fix it if it’s wrong, or delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have specific legal rights — for example under the GDPR if you’re in the UK or EU, or under the CCPA/CPRA if you’re in California. These can include the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to processing, and (in California) to know that we have not sold or shared your personal information, because we haven’t and don’t intend to.

We’ll honour any such request regardless of where you live. You don’t need to cite a law at us — just ask.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we’ll delete them.

International visitors

Festivaria Films LLC is based in the United States, and the services we use store data in the United States. If you’re contacting us from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.

Changes

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. If the change is significant — for example if we started using analytics — we’ll say so clearly rather than quietly editing this page.
